An undocumented immigrant who testified in two Brooklyn homicide cases gets a second chance at citizenship.

William Siguencia Hurtado came to the U.S. from Ecuador 15 years ago.

He'd been slated for deportation after skipping out on a court hearing in 2005, and was detained at an annual check in back in June.

But now — thanks to the Brooklyn District Attorney's office, Hurtado will make bond later this week.

"If you come forward and you work with law enforcement we will not turn our backs on you," said acting Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez. "We are here to make sure that every person who resides in Brooklyn is treated with fairness and respect and dignity and that justice will be given an opportunity."

Hurtado's testimony helped convict two gang members in the stabbing death of a man outside a nightclub.

He also gave police information about three attackers who beat a man to death.

The married father of two plans to head back to work as a cab driver while he tries to obtain permanent status.
