Wednesday's storm caused more problems for some Jamaica residents whose homes were severely damaged by Hurricane Sandy.

Natasha Francis and her two kids are staying with family and friends. She said Hurricane Sandy damaged her roof, and now there's water everywhere.

Francis said her landlord still asks her for rent money but claims he can't afford the needed repairs.

"All I want is somewhere for myself and for my kids to live," Francis said. "That's all."

Francis called FEMA Saturday after NY1 first broadcast this story. She said FEMA is now coming to inspect the home this Saturday.

Downstairs, Khaleeda Khan's family may be worse off. Water is coming through the ceiling in almost a dozen spots, and she said she has no heat.

Khan said she got an eviction notice Thursday morning and can't afford to just pick up and move. Right now, the five of them are split up, staying with various friends.

"My kids is torn apart," Khan said. "They don't know where to sleep tonight. My daughter's hurt because her birthday is on Monday and she's not going to have a birthday party. I don't know what to do."

NY1 was unable to reach the landlord. His attorney spoke with NY1 and said he'll withdraw the eviction action if he received a valid lease. NY1 faxed him the lease we were given, and he said he would talk tomorrow.
