An elderly woman died Saturday night after police say she was hit by a car.
Police say Gitzella Katz and her daughter, Judy Fisher, were crossing the street in between cars in Williamsburg around 9:45 p.m. Saturday when they were hit by a car backing into a parking spot.
Katz, who according to a neighbor was a Holocaust survivor, was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital.
Fisher was listed in stable condition on Sunday evening.
Police said no criminality is suspected.
