In an effort to get illegal guns off the street, a gun buyback program was held in Brooklyn Saturday.
Those who turned in a working gun received a $200 bank card in return, no questions asked.
Rifles and shotguns could be exchanged for a $20 bank card.
Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes, Councilwoman Diana Reyna and the NYPD hosted the event.
The gun buyback began at 10 a.m. and ran until 4 p.m. at the Evergeen Baptist Church at 455 Evergreen Avenue in Bushwick.
