Students in Brooklyn got a chance to work with a national hero Tuesday as well as learn about space in the process.
Buzz Aldrin gave a pep talk at PS 328 in East New York and shared his experiences as one of the first men to walk on the moon.
Students also saw a presentation on the Mars Curiosity Rover.
The former astronaut even helped paint a giant Mars mural on the side of their school.
He said it's important to get kids excited about science.
"One of the more important things that I can do is to reach people, young people and old people, with ideas and concepts of what the future may be," Aldrin said.
