The Legal Aid Society kicked off its first round of clinics Monday to help young undocumented immigrants in the city avoid deportation.
The clinics explained how to apply for Deferred Action, the Department of Homeland Security's program that began last week and allows for young undocumented immigrants to receive a work permit under certain conditions.
Organizers said there was a great turnout Monday at the Downtown Brooklyn clinic.
