A Brooklyn man died Thursday after her was hit by a car in Prospects Lefferts Gardens.
Christopher Hutchinson, 39, was struck around 3 a.m.
Police said Jean Bigord, 53, was speeding near Bedford Avenue and Sterling Street when he crossed a double yellow line.
Bigord allegedly lost control, striking a parked car before jumping the sidewalk, hitting a building and then Hutchinson, who according to family members was sitting in front of his home.
Hutchinson's sister said the family was still coming to terms with circumstances surrounding his death.
"It just makes it uncomfortable to know that your brother had died just like this, innocently, when someone just drove recklessly," she said. "This man has not a scratch, not a bruise, by just driving, overtaking, speeding, which is just not good."
Now, Bigord faces charges of criminally negligent homicide, reckless endangerment and reckless driving.
