Two people are dead and a child is injured after a three-car crash on the Long Island Expressway in Queens.
Investigators say a yellow taxi cab was traveling westbound on the LIE near 66th Street in Maspeth when it slammed into the rear of a Porsche at around 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
The cab was then hit by an oncoming garbage truck, which was unable to stop on the slick road.
Police say 46-year-old cab driver Muhammed Hussain and one of his passengers, 60-year-old Suzanne Nicholson of Utah, were pronounced dead at the hospital.
The other passenger, an 11-year-old boy, is in stable condition.
No charges were filed.
