Officials say 12 people suffered minor injuries in Brooklyn on Monday morning after a food truck ran into a city bus and flipped over.
According to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the truck was driving north when it hit a B11 bus shortly after 10 a.m. at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Avenue J in Midwood.
The bus went up onto the sidewalk and hit some planters, narrowly avoiding the corner of a six-story brick building.
The bus driver was among those hurt, but the MTA described the injuries as non-life-threatening.
Residents described the truck as a Meals on Wheels vehicle that frequently makes stops in the area.
"It looked like the drivers in the truck had a concussion or dazed, one of them had broken a wrist, I think. I wasn't able to see the bus driver in the bus but he looked a little shaken up, everybody was shooken up," said one witness.
Fire officials say those injured were taken to a local hospital.
