A pedestrian is dead after being struck by two cars in Brooklyn.
Police say Lepoldo Hernandez, 57, was crossing Borinquen Place near his home when he was hit by a car around 6 a.m. Wednesday.
He was struck by another car seconds later.
Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene.
"This motorist came out of nowhere, it happened so fast. Struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian flew like maybe five, 10 feet up in the air. When he landed on the ground, the second car came and ran over him and dragged him about another 15 feet," said Juan Nisvis, a witness.
"He's such a nice guy, everybody loved him. Everybody over there is crying. Everybody over there, they just don't believe it because he's just such a nice guy," said Rommel Morales, the victim’s friend.
Investigators say both drivers stayed at the scene.
No criminality is suspected.
