The city is looking to transform part of Brooklyn's iconic Municipal Building into public space.

Sources say several bids are in contention, including a high-end furniture store and an upscale supermarket.

It is all part of a plan to consolidate office space at 210 Joralemon Street to generate revenue.

The city hopes to do the same thing at 65 Court Street, which is just around the corner.

Officials want to rearrange the interior of building, which houses some offices for the Department of Education, and turn the ground floor to retail space.
