Two of the men convicted in the 2007 shooting death of a police officer in Brooklyn are now being charged in another shooting that happened 24 hours earlier.
Dexter Bostic is serving life in prison for the murder of Detective Russell Timoshenko.
Robert Ellis was acquitted of a murder charge in the case, but is serving 15 years for weapons possession.
Law enforcement sources tell NY1 that Bostic and Ellis will be charged with attempted murder on Wednesday. This time, for allegedly shooting a man named Carl Field in Jamaica.
Timoshenko was conducting a traffic stop in Crown Heights when he was shot in the face and neck.
A third man, Lee Woods, is also serving a life sentence for the murder.
