A mural for black veterans in Brooklyn was officially unveiled Thursday.
A team of young artists transformed the facade of the Black Veterans for Social Justice Headquarters in Bedford-Stuyvesant into a work of art named "All Services Entail Tender Loving Care and a Listening Ear."
The four-story mural examines the lives, needs and stories of returning veterans.
The BVSJ Resource Center works to rehabilitate veterans with employment programs, small business education and reintegration for the homeless.
Staffers say they hope the mural will be an even bigger symbol welcoming veterans home.
"The main site of the whole mural is to, let the veterans family and this community know that the doors here are open for any transformation or transition."
The mural is one of five big works of public art by the Groundswell Community Mural Project.
More than 80 youngsters and 12 artists worked across Brooklyn to transform the neighborhood sites.
