The funeral for a Brooklyn man gunned down during a liquor store robbery is being held today, as police search for his killer.

Services for Yoseph Robinson, 34, will be held tonight at Shomrei Hadas Chapel on 14th Avenue in Borough Park.

Robinson was killed Thursday night while he was working at a Kosher liquor store in Midwood. A masked gunman shot Robinson while he was trying to protect his girlfriend.

Family, friends and community leaders gathered yesterday to remember Robinson and to call for the shooter to be brought to justice.

Robinson was a former hip-hop producer who converted to Judaism to escape a life of drugs and violence.

"Everybody has enemies and, Yoseph, you don't find that one person that has anything bad to say about him,” said Chaim Deutsch of Flatbush Shomrim. “Only a person that's an angel doesn't have enemies like Yoseph.”

“Yoseph Robinson was proud to be a Jew. He was proud to be a Jamaican, and he never let either aspect of his personality overshadow the other one,” said a friend.

Investigators are hoping surveillance video will help them find the gunman. He was wearing a tan hooded sweatshirt, jeans with white sneakers.

Anyone with information about the case is being asked to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-577-TIPS, by texting TIP577 to CRIMES, or by going to NYPDCrimeStoppers.com.
