A spokesperson for the Brooklyn district attorney’s office says State Senator Kevin Parker will be tried this summer for allegedly attacking a New York Post photographer.
Prosecutors say William Lopez had his finger broken when Parker grabbed his camera last May.
Felony charges were recently restored after a judge initially dismissed them for a lack of evidence.
The Brooklyn lawmaker has pleaded not guilty.
A felony conviction would automatically cost Parker his Senate seat.
Earlier this week, Parker went on a nearly two minute tirade against a republican colleague, accusing him of being a racist.
