A Brooklyn mother and her boyfriend are being held without bail on second-degree murder charges in the beating death of the woman's four-year-old son.

Myrna Chenphang, 25, and her live-in boyfriend, Steven Dadaille, 26, did not enter a plea at their arraignment.

Published reports say each made statements blaming and implicating the other in the boy's death.

"They will be assigned a lawyer, both of them, on Friday. It's standard [that they have not entered pleas],” said court-appointed attorney Jesse Young. “We don't necessarily say not guilty, but it's understood it's not guilty."

Police responded to a call of an unconscious child at a Crown Heights home Friday night. There, they found Jayden Lenescar unresponsive.

The boy was later pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital.

The medical examiner says Jayden died of blunt impact injuries to the body, arms, and legs.
