Police offered Saturday a $12,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of several men wanted in an alleged hate crime against a Mexican immigrant living in Brooklyn.

Investigators say Mario Vera, 37, seen above, went to a Manhattan church on September 23 to pick up items from its food pantry.

He was attacked that afternoon on his way home.

Police say the attackers shouted racial slurs while beating him in the back of his head with a hard object.

Vera remained in the hospital Saturday with traumatic brain injury.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
