Elected officials discuss new legislation to reduce the use of counterfeit identification by residents below the legal drinking age. If passed, the “Card Hard” legislative package will significantly increase the number retailers using fake ID scanners, impose steep penalties on those who sell/produce Fake IDs, and undertake additional measures critical to combating a recent 73% increase in alcohol sales to NYC teens.
