New York Giants star Victor Cruz signed copies of his new book at the Queens Center Mall Friday to the delight of his many fans.

The wide receiver is promoting his memoir "Victor Cruz: Out of the Blue," which details his personal story of overcoming numerous life obstacles.

He says the response to the book has been very positive.

"It's just been amazing," he said. "I just love people to hear my story. The best part is when they tell a few people had come up to the line and had already read the book. They said they loved it and it was an awesome story so it's always a good reaction."

The first several hundred people at the Elmhurst event on Friday received a free copy of the book, courtesy of Time Warner Cable.

The event was part of Time Warner Cable’s “Enjoy Queens Better” initiative.
