Some winter deals at SeaWorld in Orlando won't sink your travel budget. NY1's Valarie D'Elia filed the following report.Orlando is always tops for family travelers and one of the biggest crowd pleasers is the Shamu Show, "One Ocean" at SeaWorld. On a recent media visit I was overwhelmed by the choreography of the huge mammals and in awe of their training, precision and performance.
Besides simply being wowed and on the edge of your seat, certain areas are in the splash zone -- so you better be prepared to get wet. Besides simply being a spectacle, the show carries a message that both animals and humans are part of one world, with one ocean.
For less of a spectator sport and more of an adrenaline rush, board the Manta flying coaster for all of its stomach-dropping twists and turns.
There are many ways to save on a visit this winter especially provided you are booking any of SeaWorld Orlando’s vacation packages at their seven official hotels.
The Eat Free All-Day option provides free meals with each paid admission, usually costing $29.99 a person.
Additionally, if you are traveling with up to two kids age 3-9, they can get in for free with each paid adult admission. That’s a savings of $74 per child.
The SeaWorld hotels are all within walking distance of the parks where benefits include complimentary transportation, front-of-the-line access, along with access to the "SeaWorld Rescue Tour" every Saturday all year.
Just across the street from SeaWorld is Discovery Cove, a limited-admission, all-inclusive tropical resort where you can swim with dolphins, hand-feed tropical birds, snorkel among thousands of colorful fish and even submerge yourself wearing a dive helmet on the Grand Reef.
The cost is $59 per person.
