Drug maker Pfizer has issued a recall that affects about a million packets of birth control pills.
The company says a packaging error could leave women with an inadequate dose of the hormone-based drug, raising a woman's risk of actually getting pregnant.
The recall affects lots of the Lo/Ovral-28 tablets and the generic Norgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol tablets.
Pfizer found that some packages were found to have too many active tablets while some had too few.
