Weeks before the 100th anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire in Lower Manhattan, a new film is examining the infamous industrial disaster that killed 146 people.

The HBO film, titled "Triangle: Remembering the Fire," takes a look at the mostly young immigrant women who died while working in oppressive conditions at the clothing factory.

The documentary, which premieres later this month, was screened last night at Adelphi University in Garden City, Queens.

NY1's Roma Torre moderated a panel discussion at Adelphi afterward, with descendants of the victims weighing in on the brutal working conditions of the time, and how the fire impacted workers' rights.
