The New York City Opera and its orchestra union have reached a tentative contract deal.
The opera, along with union representatives for the orchestra, singers and the company say there's a three-year agreement on the table.
The measure still needs board approval and a membership vote.
It includes health care benefits that in 2013 will include employee contributions.
The general manager and artistic director for the opera says the deal ensures the opera's financial solvency.
As a result, the lockout has been lifted and rehearsals for the spring season are expected to get underway Wednesday.
Performances of "La Traviata" are scheduled to begin February 12 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
