The sentencing of rapper Lil' Wayne was delayed yet again due to a courthouse fire in Lower Manhattan today.

Lil' Wayne, whose given name is Dwayne Carter, was expected to have begun serving a one-year sentence today.

He pleaded guilty in October to attempted criminal possession of a weapon for carrying a loaded gun on his tour bus in July 2007.

Carter was supposed to begin his sentence last month, but it was pushed back so he could get dental work done.

With good behavior, the hip-hop star could be out of jail in about eight months.
