The city will soon receive $151 million in anti-terror funding from the Department of Homeland Security.

The Urban Areas Initiative Funding pays for the massive surveillance program in Downtown Manhattan and its expansion into Times Square and Midtown.

New York will also get $22 million to funds police efforts to detect potential radiological devices brought on bridges and in tunnels.

This comes as the rest of the country's anti-terror funding is being reduced by 42 percent.

The decision was praised by Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand and Police Commissioner Ray Kelly.
