The man who led the 2005 transit strike is retiring from his job as a track worker.
Roger Toussaint, the fiery former head of the Transport Workers Local 100, filed his retirement papers last week.
Toussaint returned to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority as a track worker in February after leaving his post as vice president of the international union.
His return sparked speculation he may try to run again for president of Local 100.
Toussaint plans to formally leave the MTA next month.
