Two construction workers were hospitalized this morning after being injured during a truck accident in Brooklyn.
It happened shortly after 11 a.m. at the end of Rockaway Parkway at the Belt Parkway rotary, located near exit 13 in Canarsie.
Emergency crews say a flatbed truck with bucket carrier on top flipped over while two workers were working on a utility pole.
One of the workers suffered a rib injury, the other suffered a broken ankle.
Fire officials say the two had their safety harnesses on which kept them from getting seriously hurt.
It took rescuers about 45 minutes to pull the workers from a ditch.
Both were taken to Brookdale Hospital.
Due to the investigation, the eastbound entrance to the Belt Parkway remains closed.
