Customers of a local Brooklyn furniture store claim the seller took their cash and delivered nothing in return. NY1's Susan Jhun filed the following report.

Brooklyn couple Manny and Tanya Simone hoped to have a comfortable couch by now.

"We paid $340 cash for a new couch," Manny said. "They told us it would arrive approximately a week later on a Saturday afternoon. Saturday came and went. We didn't receive anything."

Three weeks later, the Simones still have no couch and no word from "Furniture to Go" in Bay Ridge, where they purchased the sofa.

The Simones said they came down to the store which was locked and saw a line of angry customers in the same situation.

"We saw 20 other people who were there with their receipts as well, trying to get the furniture," Manny said.

Hrisoula Pasiakos purchased a sofa bed from the same store and paid a $400 deposit on a $650 sofa. Twice, she said she waited all day for the sofa to be delivered and both times no one showed.

"I tried to call and I went again over there and I wait for an hour, two hours," she said. "Maybe somebody's coming. They have light inside. They have sign open and nobody."

NY1 contacted the owner of Bay Ridge Furniture to Go, who said he gave up his lease and is now trying to open a location somewhere else. He said he's working on filling all his orders.

NY1 then found that his brother is the owner of the Marine Park Furniture to Go store. NY1 called him and he told us he's aware of the situation and is trying to help his brother fill his orders.

After NY1's calls, both the Simones and Pasiakos said the Marine Park store owner told them their orders have been processed and will be delivered next week.

NY1 will keep you updated.
