Police arrested and charged a man Thursday with lending weapons to the suspect who allegedly killed a Nassau County police officer and another bystander on the Cross Island Parkway in Queens Tuesday.

Authorities say Gerald Williams, 27, loaned a car containing a TEC 9 semi-automatic firearm and a Ruger 9mm semi-automatic pistol to Darrell Fuller on Tuesday.

Fuller, according to police, shot Officer Arthur Lopez in the chest during a traffic stop on the Cross Island Parkway and then shot Raymond Facey and stole the latter man's car.

Police say the weapons were in Williams' car when it was returned.

Investigators are conducting ballistic tests to see if the Ruger was used to shoot Lopez and Facey.

Williams will face two counts of criminal possession of a weapon when he is arraigned in criminal court.

Fuller was arraigned this morning before a Nassau County judge and charged with two counts of first-degree murder, one count of first-degree robbery and several weapons charges.

On Wednesday, Fuller was released from Jamaica Hospital after being treated for a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Fuller's next court date is set for October 29.

Fuller was previously convicted in 2005 of shooting and wounding a man over a parking spot dispute, and was sent back to prison in 2010 for violating his parole by selling crack cocaine. He was released in May 2011.
